Impartiality (SLO4YO)
The impartiality is that the documentary has a non
bias side. As it about a subject that the viewer seen to feel neutral about it. why this used in documentary is that it allowed the producer not to seem bias, as to show that there not taking any side of the situation. what this does to the audience is that it allowed them to have there own opinion about it with any bias dominating material coming to them. where we can see this is in the documentary of Secrete life of 4 year old, what we can see is that there are scientist that are telling the audience of what there are see in and what this could mean through the scientific behaviour side of the child and is presented with equal attention.
Objectivity & Subjectivity (SLO4YO)
Objectivity & Subjectivity, is a documentary
that it amid toward with specific niche topic/object, where it is shown though
one point of view. Why this is used is that it allows the producer to only gather a specific subject rather them a wide rage, as this also allows the audiences to think about the specific topic what this does is it does not confuse them about the facts. We can see this in the documentary of secret life of 4 year old, as this documentary is only based on one specific subject of a 4 year old, throughout the documentary we see the flow of the same topic being presented to the audience.
Opinion (SUICIDE)
Opinion is your own personal feeling and
thoughts about the specific subject of the documentary, its your own views on
the subject. why we see this in documentary is that it allows the audience to create there own mind up about the topic in the documentary where we see this being used is in the Rescue suicide team in south Korea, why an opinion element might be used in this documentary is that it might want the audience to think about the people that are be hide the scenes when rescuing them. As there audience might have an opinion of let them kill them self as it is there lives or there have a life living for as there are spacial, as this thought allows the audience to give them an opinion.
Bias (SUICIDE)
Bias is only one opinion and thoughts about the
topic. It only shows one side of the story , which is shown to be unbalanced to
the viewer. Why the bias rule may be used is that it might be the only option for the documentary as there opposite side could be hard to reach to or this could be used to only show the negative or positive side of the story as there might want to represent the product from side.Where this is used in the documentary about The suicide rescue team in South Korea where the rule is seen at is 0:30 and throughout, what is seen by the audience is one side of the story because it only shows the rescues team side of how there save people from committing suicide as this does not show the suicide side of the story of what there go through when in the moment, and how there feel when there are rescue, there could have interviewed someone that has experienced that situation.
Representation (SUICIDE)
Representations is how is the interviewees
being shown in the documentary how is
their image brought across to the viewer. Why this rule is used in a documentary is because it allowed the producer to take control the representation of the interviewers being film as this could make innocent people look bad, and bad people loo innocent as this could manipulate the audience. where this rule is used in the documentary about the suicide rescue team, what we see is at 2:19 where we see one of the member of the suicide rescue team talking about how he had witnessed people commit suicide and what he has done is added quotes on the bridge to influence them not to kill them self, the representation that this documentary create on the interviewer is that he is a life saver, as he is a good and inspiring person to people that need him the most in life.
Access & Privacy (DRUGS)
Access and Privacy is the locations and people
there show in the documentary is the identity consented or not to the viewer. Why this is used in a documentary is that it allowed the audience to believe the documentary, as it becomes realistic to them because there is someone on screen that is involved or has been effected in the topic this could be used in documentary for Rape, Gangs and in this case we this used in a documentary about drugs called Truth about Ecstasy:High Society. Were we see this rule being used in the documentary is at 8:25 where we can see two male figures that are wearing face masks to cover there identity how we know that there are males by the sound of there voices and the figure of them. why this is used to show to the audience that drug maker want to keep there identity safe, this can back up the point of you never know what you have been giving by a drug dealer.
Contract with viewer (DRUGS)
Contract with viewer is making an agreement to
document people with an insight with at least some of the truth to the viewer
watching. Why this rule is used in documentary is that it allows the audience to gain an amount of truth about the the topic. as this documentary confirms the user about what there are watching is the true.where this is seen in the documentary about the Truth about Ecstasy:High Society is at 1:04 where the voice over of the presenter says that "we will be going out to find out about why the Ecstasy use is increasing" what this tell the audience is that there are going to find about how, with an back up of evidence and facts. What is done further on in the documentary is that facts and statistics are told by the UK boarder force
