The Good and Bad News Video

Good News Report

We have created a news report that denotes the good elements of a news report. what we see first is an intro animation of the title of the news shows, which is shows as a 3D moving animation of the Earth from space, followed on by the title of ABF news which is placed in the centre of the intro this is shown between 0:00-0:10. Then we see a good element of that there are Aston's placed at the bottom of the screen to inform to the viewer of who is who. we can see this at 0:13, of where there is a Aston for Ben the news ancher , then we see at 0:21 where we see Frankie as a news correspondent and then we see one at 0:47 of the person that has been effected by the news. What else we see is that there is assign off by Frankie at 1:24 where he say where he is and who he is, what this does is that is creates a full stop to the end of the news report, as this information to the user of where the news was reported and who reported if from there.We also get to see a Vox pox 0:45, of an actor acting as father that had to leave his home with his wife and children  that has been effected by the typhoon, what this does is makes the story more believable, and lets the audience know the personal effect that he has gone through.

Bad News Report

 We had them created a bad news report to show the bad conventions. what you hear first is that there is a non professional music that is used at the beginning of the intro, and carried onto the main news report. what this does is that this distracted the audience and intimated an elderly audience that are watching you can hear this at 1:45 and throughout the video. what we also see in the news reporter in the costume that the news anker is wearing is the dark coloured hoodies. this is not seen as presentable to the audiences, as this could lead to not trusting the story being told, we see this at 1:50. What else we see in the news report is that the news correspondent is not prepared to present the news, as at 2:01 his back is turned to the camera, which represent that he is not bothered to tell the news. what we also hear is slang when Ben is speaking to Frankie, as he say "he will bang you" , the word "bang" could be represented as a sexual phrase, which could effect the regulation of day time television, we hear this at 2:16. what we also see is that there is a fight going on between the news correspondent (Frankie) and the member of the public acting as Asad, this could disturbed the audience when watching and may not fit the regulation of day time TV we see this shown at 2:2.

The conventions that you see is at 8:14 where you see the graphics being use , you can see an aston on the bottom of the screen telling the audincse who is at the location of the scense and what the stauts is of the situation. Another conventions we see in the field report is the background as wee can see at 8:19 of the news correspondent standing infornt of a police van, why this is used is to indicate to the user that the situations is seriouse and the police is involved. What the news correspondent is wearing in non profectional clothing. as she is wearing a jackets this it to indicate the it is cold outside of where the distruction has happenend, we see this at 8:38

The first conventions we see to the link to studio is the conveations between the news anker and the news corrospndent we see this at 0:03 whe see then speaking to each other to unfold the results from the post debate elections, why this is doen . Another conventions we see in the report is the locations of were the news corrospents is at we see this at 0:55 of where you can see the loaction of Hampstead NY, where the Post debate is being held, why this is used is to tell the aduicnse of where the news is being corrospondent from.

Mode of address to viewer

The conventions that are used to show the mode of address to the viewer is is the vocie toen that is adress as it is not see as being lound or quite is is hear to be seriouse to the viewe, the tone is used becuase to reprsent to the audicnse that the news story is seriouse. The accent that is used in the news report is a southen accent, you can see this at 0:26 where the ancker is presenter the news at the beginning, why this accent is used is becuase this accents is see to be rich english and heard to be important.The language complecity that is used in the news report is not a high complex language, becuase the languge being used is stuctured well but can he understood by the large amount the there target audincse you see this at 4:48.

Interviewing Experts and witnesses

The elements that you see in the news report is that reprsent the interviewing Experts and witnesses is the location of where the witness is desicibing the event you can see this at 4:43 where the vocie over say the locations of where the pub is alight, and where the witnesses used to go and live near, why this conventions is used is to tell the audincse on on where the witnessess/victime was effected. Another convention we see within the news report is the status of the interviewee, we see this at 4:46 where the women Rosie Pertusa is in a state of crying as she is emotional from the crimes that have happened, why this is shown is to emthsis to the audicnse of what effect the distructions had has doen with the public.What elese we see is graphics which show the name of the victime we see this at 5:00, what this does is that is tell the audicnse the name and starts to get to know her and how she is.

Report Structure

The convention that you may see in a news report is for example is archive footage, you can see this at 6:55 we see the archive picture of the victim that was shot by the police, for a suspicion for having a handgun, what this does is allows the audience to know who the victim was and get to know who is and what he looks like. what other convention we see i n the report is the location of where the news was set at, and where the crime took place we see this at 6:34 where the news correspondent is at the location of the Tottenham pub fire, why this is shows is that it allows the audience to know where the riots where taking places and what was effected is in the background of the news correspondent. Where we see a explicit convention of pecing to the camera is at 1:33 were we can see the news correspondent  

Actuality Footage

Where we see actuality footage with in the news report is at 3:33 where we can see that there is mobile footage at 3:33,of a group of males trying to break the window of the shop so they could get in there are using chairs, bats and other objects to break into it, why this is used in the news report is to make the audience see what is happening by a member of the public prospective, this also allows the audience to believe the news institution which is BBC more about the story. Where else we see the same convention with in the news report is at 5:06 where we can see a Tottenham pub was alight, what this connoted is the vulnerability of the people as there nothing that they could do to stop the fire, as the footage showed that they stood back while the pup was alight
